Suneel Darshan is set to return as a director for his next film ‘Ek Haseena Thi…Ek Deewana Tha’. The producer/director will be re-launching his son Shiv Darshan who had made his debut in ‘Karle Pyaar Karle’ (2014), produced by his father.
Suneel, who was last behind the camera for ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’ (2007) is busy with the post production of the film which will look to present his son in a new light. Times of India reported the director as saying, “Shiv deserves a second production because he has all the qualities of a superstar. Everyone has to stand the test of time and at the end of the day it is the audience that makes you a star”.
The director had earlier launched Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta in his film ‘Andaaz’ (2003) and it seems he’s keen to recreate the success they achieved by launching a newcomer opposite his son. “I’d wanted an established actress, after roping in Upen Patel for an important role. But one look at Natasha Fernandez and I knew my casting was complete” he added.
The film has been shot in the UK and Suneel promises a different cinematic experience of viewing the UK on screen. The film is tipped as a love-mystery genre and is reported to have five original songs as part of its musical album.
