Sunday release for Salman Khan & Anushka Sharma’s ‘Sultan’?

Yash Raj Films’ ‘Sultan’ is a film that so many are waiting eagerly for. With Salman Khan playing the role of a wrestler and him being paired with Anushka Sharma for the first time, it surely looks like a promising film. BizAsia has learnt that makers are looking to give the film a Sunday release which goes against convention.

Usually, films release on a Friday with the odd film taking a Thursday release – more so if a national holiday is nearby. However, it seems ‘Sultan’ might get a 3rd July release. It has been known for some time that it will be releasing at Eid this year, clashing with ‘Raees’ starring Shah Rukh Khan.

No doubt this Sunday formula will be an interesting one if rumours are to be believed.
