Summaya Mughal to cover BBC Radio Nottingham’s Breakfast show

Summaya Mughal has been announced as the stand-in presenter for BBC Radio Nottingham’s Breakfast show while regular host Verity Cowley takes maternity leave.

Mughal previously spent five years at BBC Radio Leicester before taking on this new role.

Sharing the news on Instagram, she wrote: *“Introducing your new Breakfast Presenter on BBC Radio Nottingham – and here’s the new digs!

“Five years ago, I auditioned for a radio competition at BBC Notts. Even though I had never been in a radio studio in my life, somehow I won, and that’s how my presenting journey began. So, it feels very special to be back, even if just for a little while.”
