Sujoy Ghosh’s Saif-Aishwarya similar to ‘Drishyam’?

When Sujoy Ghosh announced his film ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’ with Saif Ali Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, it made everyone sit up and take notice. Not only would this jodi be coming together for the first time but it would be another of Bachchan’s “comeback” films. However, it is now being said that because of the story’s similarities with Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Drishyam’ (2015), she film is quite possibly shelved.

Khan told DNA India, “I have a feeling that if we had done that, we should have done it before Drishyam came out. The story is very similar to Drishyam”.

Khan was unable to say whether the film is shelved but a source revealed, “Sujoy has spaced himself out to work on his next film. He has left Devotion of Suspect X far behind now. He’s concentrating on getting the pre-production work done for Durga Rani”.
