Suhail Nayyar talks about ‘Jassi’ role in ‘Udta Punjab’

This boy is known as Suhail Nayyar, who came to Mumbai in 2014 and was spotted in 2015 by casting director, Honey Trehan.��Nayyar was hoping to be cast for another project but he ended up doing a one-scene audition for ‘Udta Punjab’.

Speaking to Filmfare, Nayyar said, ���They gave me a one page script and I said, ‘This is in Punjabi. Is this a Punjabi film?�۪”.

He realised that this is a much bigger project when he did a run for Shahid Kapoor�۪s role also.�� This motivated him further to get the part.

���For the first time in life I got my chest waxed and my whole chest was red. When I was preparing for my audition, I was in pain,�۝ he continued.�� Abhishek Chaubey loved him also, and after another audition (which he prepared for by watching Punjabi films and the style of language), at the great Prithvi Theatre, he was given the role.
