Suhaib Ilyasi has rejected a deal for ZEE Music Company to acquire the music rights for his upcoming film ‘Ghar Wapsi’ after they asked him to replace a Sonu Nigam song with another singer.

Recently, Nigam had a falling out with ZEE, which resulted in two songs being replaced with other singers in the ‘Ishq Forever’ album, which ZEE Music Company holds the rights for. A similar situation would have occured with the song ‘Kitna Pyaara Yeh Bandhan Hai’ from ‘Ghar Wapsi’.

Ilyasi told Mumbai Mirror, “I met the Zee management 20 days ago and they loved all the four songs and were happy to come on board. Their only demand was that I should replace Sonu. I turned it down because it is ethically wrong.”

The film stars Harsh Nagar and Srishti Gautam.
