Sugandha Date wins ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ 2019
ZEE TV’s popular series ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ 2019 came to an end last night, with 14-year old Sugandha Date being crowned the winner.
Date, who was regularly compared to playback singer, Shreya Ghoshal was named the front-runner in last night’s finale. She beat off competition from other candidates Mohammed Faiz, Pritam Acharya, Anushka Patra, Aastha Das, Aayush KC. The finale also saw special guests Mika Singh, Kumar Shanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, and Babul Supriyo come together for the show.
Upon winning, Date said, “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs has been a great learning experience for me. I feel blessed to have been trained under such fabulous experts and mentors. The judges have always motivated me through my singing journey and helped me understand my calibre and potential as a singer. I am extremely happy to have received this opportunity to showcase my talent on such a great platform like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. I am glad to have made some special bonds with the jury members and my fellow contestants whilst on the show which I am going to cherish for life. I am looking forward to my new singing journey and will always hope to make the entire team of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs proud. Prior to her stint in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’, Date also participated in ‘Indian Idol Junior’ in 2013, where she was named as one of the finalists.
