Sudhir Mishra stops shoot in Delhi for safety of crew

Currently in the midst of shooting for his forthcoming production ‘Aur Devdas’, it has been reported that film maker Sudhir Mishra had to cancel his shooting schedule in Delhi as it had become unsafe for his female crew members in particular.

Taking to social networking site Twitter, Misha explained, “Today my shoot was cancelled because the line producer could not guarantee the safety of the unit. I say this without bias. I really love Delhi but shooting on its outskirts is really scary and I was worried about the women in the unit.”

With so much being in the news about incidents in the city, Mishra didn’t want to take any risks. However, only having one day left to shoot there, the filmmaker has figured out a way to make that shoot happen elsewhere, as he went onto add, “Luckily it was the last day and I can do it near Mumbai.”

As suggested in it’s title, here is another adaptation of the infamous novel by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay titled ‘Devdas’. This installment will star Aditi Rao Hydari as Paro, Richa Chadda as Chandramukhi and Rahul Bhat as Devdas.
