Street outside Swaminarayan Temple in Neasden named Pramukh Swami Rd

The street outside Swaminarayan Temple in Neasden has been named Pramukh Swami Road.

London Mayor, Sadiq Khan tweeted, “Really pleased the street outside London’s world-famous Neasden Temple has been renamed Pramukh Swami Road. Thank you @NeasdenTemple for the huge contribution you make to our city, and thank you @Brent_Council. Looking forward to celebrating properly once it’s safe to do so.”

The name change was approved by Brent Council last October. The change has seen a section of Meadow Garth renamed to Pramukh Swami Road as a mark of respect to Pramukh Swami Maharaj, who was the president of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) movement.
