Still no luck for Farah Khan for 4th lead in ‘Happy New Year’

News of choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan’s next film ‘Happy New Year’ has been going about for some time now. Having signed Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Prithiviraj, Khan seems to be having difficulties in roping in a fourth actor.

As things started to look up for the filmmaker and her project, she found that the actors she turned to looked the other way. Apparently, after speaking to John Abraham who had date problems, Khan went to Dev Patel and Ayushmann Khurrana, who both also turned the offer down too. “Dev was not keen to do commercial films and he politely declined the offer. Farah then spoke to Ayushmann. He did not wish to do multi-starrers, considering he is doing two solo lead roles,” NDTV report a source stating.

Now being stuck as to who Khan should approach next for the role, it looks like she will be settling for a new face, as the insider adds, “The last male actor still remains elusive. Now Farah is thinking of casting a newcomer.” With an interesting cast already, will this be a decision that those that refused will regret later?
