Stars ready themselves for IIFA 2013

Chennai Exp launch featured

The stars have well and truly descended on to Macau, China for this year’s International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards.

Shah Rukh Khan, who was one of the last big stars to fly into the country, missed out on the opening ceremony. This was handled by his co-presenter Shahid Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan on Thursday instead. Kapoor will be joined by King Khan at the main event this weekend on stage.

Out of the big names that will not be a part of IIFA this year will be Amitabh Bachchan, however, the likes of Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit will be there to make up for the legends missing. Sridevi will perform for the first time with Prabhu Deva and Dixit will perform too – her first ever appearance at an IIFA event.

Newcomers such as Parineeti Chopra, Ayushmann Khurrana and Arjun Kapoor are others part of the performers. Deepika Padukone will also be setting the stage on fire alongside SRK to promote their new release ‘Chennai Express’ (2013).
