Star UK clarifies Star Plus HD technicalities

The announcement about Star Plus HD launching in the UK in July has got many talking and questioning about the quality it will entail of, Star TV UK clarified the details to BizAsia.

According to Star TV UK, the soon-to-launch Star Plus HD will broadcast 1080i Native HD content, which means the channel uses HD cameras to capture true HD. Star Plus HD will also broadcast audio in 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound and widescreen – 16:9 Aspect Ration as per industry standard.

Star Plus HD is scheduled to launch on Thursday 5th July in the UK if all technicalities have been met by then.

Star Plus will become the first HD Asian channel in the UK, with Star Gold HD expected to follow in the next few months.
