Star TV International, President Gurjeev Singh Kapoor, is reportedly set to return back to India in a role in Star TV’s distribution.
Kapoor, who is based at Star TV’s London office currently, will also play a key role in licencing and distributing global rights for the Indian Premier League, which belong to Star TV, according to IndianTelevision.
The report on the online portal says that Star India CEO Uday Shankar is looking to beef up its distribution team, with Kapoor in the forefront. Kapoor is said to be well networked and understands the distribution sector like Shankar.
BizAsiaLive.com understands that Kapoor is unlikely to make a full switch back to India and will juggle work between India and London.
At the time of filing this article, BizAsiaLive.com was awaiting an official statement from Kapoor.
