Star pulls out all stops for ‘Just Dance’ UK auditions

In an effort to draw as many eyeballs to its newly launched reality TV show ‘Just Dance’, Star Network UK will be simulcasting this weekend’s edition on all four of its UK channels.

The main reason behind this move is to showcase the UK auditions of the dance show, which took place in February, with stops in Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester and London.

The shortlisted candidates from these pre-auditions were invited to the final round in London on 19th April, where the UK finalists were handpicked by celebrity judges Vaibhavi Merchant – the renowned Bollywood choreographer and record-breaking Bollywood director Farah Khan.

The hunt for the ultimate dance champion from the UK will form part of an exclusive 90-minute special episode on Sunday 26th June at 21:00 on Star Plus, Star One, Star Gold and Star News.

Rajan Singh, International Head, Star Network, speaking from his Mumbai office stated, “This is an important first step in importing Asian programming produced internationally, back to India. This is also a great opportunity for the NRI۪s around the world to represent their talent globally and give back to India.”

‘Just Dance’ hosted by Bollywood heartthrob – Hrithik Roshan, launched on the 18th of June globally on Star Plus. This is the first time the official South Asian market leader has scouted for talent internationally inviting aspiring dance talents to showcase their moves on this global reality dance competition.
