Star Plus US to air cricket for the first time

For the first time in its history, Star Plus in America will broadcast the highlights of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup in North America.

The channel will air a special daily package called ‘ICC Cricket World Show’, a programme consisting of latest cricket news, recent cricket action as well as off-field features and interviews with the sportsmen from around the world.

The highlights programme will be shown on Star Plus US from Saturday 19th February. The channel will package highlights of all 49 matches over a six-week period where the matches are held in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Star senior VP distribution, sales and marketing and head of Star�۪s North American office David Wisnia said, “We are excited to be able to compliment our robust programming schedule with highlights of the upcoming ICC World Cup ��� and further deliver to our viewers throughout North America, the best that Star Plus has to offer.”

In the UK, Sky Sports will air the matches in English with ZEE Network’s ZEE Cafe simulating the coverage with Hindi commentary.
