Star Plus UK to mirror its schedule with India

Star Plus UK has announced that the broadcast schedule on its UK feed will be identical to the broadcast schedule on its flagship India channel, commencing on Monday (4th July). Not only this, the UK Star Plus feed will also now be 100% English subtitled.

As a result of this change, viewers Star Plus viewers across the globe in India, the UK, the US, Middle East and South Africa will now be able to enjoy the high-quality content of Star Plus simultaneously.

In simple terms, the international beams will now run same episodes of shows simultaneously as India, per day.

In a press statement to BizAsia.co.uk, Star elaborated on the new change, “Star Plus is renowned in shaping the Hindi TV landscape through its innovative format shows and has previously broadcast non-fiction favourites such as the Chotte Ustaad finale, Star Parivaar Awards concurrent with India. The biggest dance reality show ��Just Dance�۪ also launched worldwide on Star Plus on 18th June. Also coming up in July are the IIFA Awards 2011, another must-see property exclusive to Star.”

Incidentally, channels Sony Entertainment Television Asia and Colors have been broadcasting concurrently with their India flagship channels since launch.
