Star Plus UK overhauls weekday primetime schedule

Star Plus UK has unveiled a string of changes to its schedule, which will take effect from Monday 21st May 2018.

The channel is also launching two new fictions ‘Mariam Khan – Reporting Live’ and ‘Krishna Chali London’ on the same day, as well as tweaking its current line-up of shows.

Star Plus UK will kick off its evenings with ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ unchanged at 18:00. This will be followed by ‘Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh Piyaji’, which moved 30 minutes earlier to 18:30, from its existing 19:00 slot. New series ‘Mariam Khan – Reporting Live’ will take the 19:00 slot and ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ will stay in the 19:30 band. The biggest change will be ‘Ishqbaaaz’ moving from its late slot at 21:30 currently to 20:00. Popular show ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ will remain in the 20:30 slot. New fiction ‘Krishna Chali London’ will air at 21:00. ‘Ikyawann’ will move from 18:30 currently to 21:30. ‘Tumhari Paakhi’ repeat will remain at 22:00 and ‘Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai’ will be shifted to 22:30.

Star Plus UK has been focusing on various day parts to strengthen its output. Recently, it launched a new Star Plus Dopahar slot with re-run of classic Star TV library shows. It also introduced a new cookery slot called ‘Star Zaika’, which has got off to a good start for the channel.
