After yesterday’s announcement that Colors is launching a slew of new shows, STAR Plus India has gone ahead with confirming it too will be starting three new shows next month.

The channel is beefing up its afternoon band, something, which Colors has been exploring to do also. From March, ‘Shraddha’, ‘Phool Kamaal Ke’ and ‘STAR Vivaah’ will go live as it intensifies to retain eyeballs.

‘Shraddha’ revolves around the story of a devoted daughter, ‘Phool Kamaal Ke’ is a love story that looks at transcending all barriers of social standing. ‘STAR Vivah’ is a wedding reality show that will encompass all the stages of matrimonial engagements ranging from matchmaking to the wedding ceremony.

Says STAR India executive vice president and general manager Keertan Adhyanthaya, “The afternoons on STAR Plus have been exciting, engaging and have done exceedingly well. With the launch of Shraddha, Phool Kamaal Ke and Star Vivaah, we now attempt to take a leap ahead in strengthening our afternoon slot.”

In the UK, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ kicks off on Modnay 16th February at 19:00.
