STAR Plus to launch ‘Moment Of Truth’

Popular American show ‘Moment Of Truth’ is hitting Indian shores by launching on STAR Plus.

The Hindi avatar, which will be known as ‘Sach Ka Saamna’ will be hitting the airwaves in India on Wednesday 15th July and will occupy the Monday to Friday 22:30 slot. The format of the show that debuted on Fox network in January last year is originally owned by television production company, Lighthearted Entertainment.

STAR Plus GM and EVP Keertan Adyanthaya said, “In this extremely competitive landscape, it’s always been our effort to introduce programming that challenges convention. Sach Ka Saamna is the effort of this continuing journey that will charter a new era of programming.”

Hosted by Rajeev Khandelwal, ‘Sach Ka Saamna’ demands participants to go through a round of 21 questions, broken into six levels with prize money at each level and an ultimate cash prize of Rs 10 million. Contestants can decide to stop at any time and leave the show. At that point they will win the amount of the last level successfully completed, provided they haven’t heard the next question to be asked. If the contestant lies at any level, he/she loses all the money and will be out of the show.

The programme launches on STAR Plus UK in August.
