Star Plus to launch ��Kaali ��� Ek Punar Avtaar�۪

As revealed exclusively on BizAsia earlier this week, ‘Kaali ��� Ek Punar Avtaar’ (formerly titled ‘Nyaay’) will be the replacement for ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ when it ends on Friday (30th November).

‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ is being wrapped up abruptly after its lead star Barun Sobti announced his departure from the show. ‘Kaali ��� Ek Punar Avtaar’ takes the weekday 20:00 slot from Monday 3rd December.

The hard-hitting series produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms is based on the Nitish Katara murder case, where a mother fights and struggle to get justice for her son. Incidentally, the channel had a show called ‘Kaali- Ek Agnipariksha’, which aired in a late night slot and did well for the channel.

The actors finalised to play the role of mother and her son are, Mangal Kenkre and Anshul Trivedi, respectively. To essay the villainous character, Sudhir Nema, has been signed, by the makers.

‘Kaali ��� Ek Punar Avtaar’ will compete with ‘Rab Se Sona Ishhq’ on ZEE TV, new thriller ‘Anamika’ on Sony Entertainment Television Asia and ‘Balika Vadhu’ on Colors.
