Star Plus to end ‘Maryaada’ this month

Star Plus’ controversial show ‘Maryaada…Lekin Kab Tak’ will be ending this month, its been confirmed.

The show had been under scrutiny due to a dip in ratings. According to reports, ‘Maryaada’ will end on Wednesday 25th January. A replacement has not yet been confirmed.

The show centres around homosexuality, extra marital affairs and politics. It has had a good run on the channel but its future looks bleak. The channel has a slew of new shows lined up for 2012 and it wants to fill in the underperforming slots with new shows.

Last month, rumours of Riddhi Dogra and RaQesh Vashisth who play Priya and Aditya Jhakar, quitting the show emerged. However, both stars said they will continue on the show until the end after overcoming differences with the production team.
