STAR Plus to co-sponsor SRK’s IPL team

STAR Plus has been confirmed as one of the co-sponsors for Shah Rukh Khan’s Indian Premier League team – Kolkata Knight Rider.

The much awaited tournament kicks off this weekend and will see the Kolkata Knight Rider players sporting the STAR Plus logo on the reverse side of their t-shirts during the matches.

STAR Plus EVP and GM Keertan Adyanthaya said, “STAR Plus and Shah Rukh Khan have had a long-standing association with each other. It is indeed a pleasure to have the Kolkata Knight Rider team wear t-shirts with our logo as they endeavor to win the IPL.”

Before this, Shah Rukh Khan has worked closely with the channel on shows like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and ‘Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hai’.

In the UK, the IPL series will be shown by Setanta with coverage from host broadcaster Sony Entertainment Television Asia India.
