Star Plus’ ‘Tere Liye’ on vigilant watch to improve

Star Plus’ daily drama series ‘Tere Liye’s’ future could be in doubt if ratings do not improve in the coming weeks.

According to reports, the channel has given the production house -Balaji Telefilms, a number of weeks to enhance the show’s content and ratings.

A source at��Telly Buzz��said, “The channel was never in favour of the huge drama that was played with the Ritesh-Taani track. However, the production house was adamant in going ahead with the track, and the result is before one and all!! The track garnered a negative response from viewers, and the ratings which were on a high saw a sudden fall. In addition to this, Ekta Kapoor was insisting on replacing Nikhil Arya. She had even short listed few popular names, of which one was Angad Hasija of Bidaai fame. But the channel saw to it that this replacement did not happen, as they were very happy with Nikhil Arya”.

It remains to be seen if the drama will show signs of improvement as it has been given until the conclusion of the Indian Premier League.
