Star Plus to shuffle primetime shows in May

As a part of its effort to keep output fresh, Star Plus will be tweaking its weeknight programming in May, BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal.

After the exit of ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ next month, the channel will be shuffling some of its primetime shows with danger of one or two shows moving to the early evening slot. The channel is making way for its big property ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’, which goes live in May.

Over the past few weeks, shows like ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’, ‘Mere Angne Mein’ and ‘Jana Na Dil Se Door’ have come under the scanner but Star Plus has not officially commented on the closure of any of these shows. While reports indicate that ‘Jana Na Dil Se Door’ has got itself an extension, it is believed that will be another show which will be shutting shop next month.

As well as ‘Love Ka Hai Intezaar’, Star Plus is launching another new series end of May/early June, which will further spruce up the channel’s weeknight primetime schedule.
