Star Plus pushes launch of ‘Nach Baliye 10’ to 2021?

Star Plus’ plans to bring back its hit reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ for a tenth season this year, have reportedly been put on hold.

The upcoming series helmed by Karan Johar, has had its launch pushed back by six months due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The series is now expected to launch in 2021, according to PinkVilla.

A source told PinkVilla, “All the communications with potential candidates has been stopped currently as it has been decided to not go ahead with the launch next week. The decision was taken considering the pandemic situation and the risk involved. With minimum staff on board, it will get difficult for the production and the channel will face logistic challenges. The couples will have their entourage assisting them plus the choreographers; it was found that at this point, it will be a hasty decision and they did not want to take a risk. The dance reality show has been pushed for next year.”

The report adds that the channel had questioned the launch previously due to the debate surrounding nepotism, which Johar has been in the news for.
