STAR Plus lines up Bollywood mayhem for July

STAR Plus has lined up a few Bollywood specials next month in an effort to entice new viewers. Two blockbuster movies and a couple of new shows head the July schedule.

As exclusively revealed earlier by Biz Asia, the channel has secured the rights of two mega movies – Black, which will be screened on the channel later this summer and the other is Elaan, which gets its much awaited premiere on Saturday 30th July. The film stars the likes of Arjun Rampal, John Abraham, Mithun Chakrobothy, Lara Dutta and Amisha Patel.

The modern classic Dil Chahta Hai will also making its presence on STAR Plus. Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Kumar star in the blockbuster hit movie. Dil Chahta Hai will be shown on Saturday 23rd July at 21:00.

STAR Plus will also be fully backing the forthcoming mega movie Viruddh starring Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham and Sharmila Tagore. In one of two Viruddh specials to be screened on the channel the first will look at the making of the movie and will be hosted by none other than Amitabh Bachchan himself. Viruddh Adarsh Jodi Special will also feature exclusive interviews with the cast and crew of Viruddh, exclusive footage and sequences from the film. Viruddh Adarsh Jodi Special will be shown Sunday 17th July at 19:00.

The other Viruddh special will be the Red Carpet Event on the weekend of the blockbuster movie’s release. The Red Carpet Event will also feature the premiere of the movie. It will be shown on Sunday 24th July at 19:00.

Sticking with the Bollywood theme, Koffee With Karan continues its successful run on STAR Plus UK with a host of new celebrities next month talking to the cheeky film director. Next month will also see the final episode of the hit series.
