STAR Plus launches Farah Khan celeb show

STAR Plus UK will be launching three new shows in the coming days including the much talked about celebrity show hosted by filmmaker Farah Khan.

Starting from thus Sunday (30th August), STAR Plus UK will premiere ‘Tere Mere Beach Mein’, presented by film choreographer, scriptwriter and director, Farah Khan. The show will air weekends at 20:00.

The seven-week series will highlight an aspect of a celebrity’s life each episode, whether it is being a mama’s boy (Salman Khan), sibling rivalry (Yusuf and Irfan Pathan), small-townie moving to a big city (Priyanka Chopra and Vijender Singh), grappling with weight problems (Sonam Kapoor and Karan Johar) or being a henpecked husband (Shah Rukh Khan).

Yeshpal Sharma, Vice President, Distribution and Sales, UK said, “Keeping in line with STAR Plus’ innovative programming, Tere Mere Beech Mein guarantees to give viewers a sneak peak into the lives of Bollywood celebrities.”

The first episode, which was screened in India this past weekend had a session with Bollywood hunk Salman Khan and his mother Salma Khan; video clips of Salman’s father Salim Khan and brother Arbaaz Khan talking about him; Mumbai girls on why they love Salman; a young girl dressed as a bride making a screechy entry and proposing to Salman and then getting his gold watch as a present.

STAR Plus UK will also be bringing back popular sitcom ‘Baa Bahoo Aur Baby’ for a second season. Produced by Hats off Production, the new season will return as a one-hour weekend daily that will be telecast at 19:00, starting also this Sunday (30th August).

Producer of the show JD Majethia said, “We do not believe in prolonging the show if we are not convinced about the story. When Baa Bahu aur Baby ended, we received heaps of mail and messages from the viewers to bring back the show. In a span of four months, we created season 2 for our loyal viewers.”

Earlier this month, the channel also launched the new season of ‘Aap Ki Kacheri’, which is being aired weeknights at 22:00. The controversial ‘Judge Judy’ type of show is hosted by stern Indian personality Kiran Bedi.
