Star Plus announces new UK schedule with originals & comedy hour

Star Plus has announced a new weekday schedule, which marks the return of its popular fictions, along with a brand new ‘Comedy Hour’.

Starting from Monday 13th July, mythologicals that have been dominating the schedule, will shift to 17:00 – 18:30 with ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ airing at 17:00 (60 minutes) and ‘Mahabharat’ at 18:00 (60-minutes).

Original shows ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ and ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ will return in their respective slots at 19:00 and 19:30. New series ‘Anupamaa’ will take the 20:00 slot – a show helmed by Rajan Shahi.

Surprisingly, Star Plus has decided to retain the re-run of ‘Sufiyana Pyaar Mera’ and will shift from 22:30 to 20:30 from Monday.

‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ will continue in their 21:00 – 22:00 slots. ‘Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka’ is expected to return later this month.

The channel’s new strategy to add comedy to the schedule will consist of ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ at 22:00 and ‘Naya Office Office’ at 22:30. Both shows will make up the new ‘Comedy Hour’ band.

The re-run of ‘Dance+’ will shift to 23:00.
