After making the decision of screening STAR Plus show ‘Sach Ka Saamna’ on its sister station STAR One, the UK network has confirmed the re-telecast of epic mythological show ‘Mahabharat’.

All this is no doubt an effort to ramp up the programming mix on STAR One, which has always been skewed towards the male viewer.

‘Mahabharat’, which is described as a 90s cult when it was launched, is being re-shown on in the UK after BBC Two premiered it first, followed by rival ZEE TV. ‘Mahabharat’ produced by the late BR Chopra, is being shown weekend mornings at 10:30, with English subtitles.

‘Mahabharat’ launched on STAR One UK on Saturday 22nd August.
