STAR News unveils new look

As reported by Biz Asia earlier this week, STAR Network’s news channel STAR News has undergone a makeover today.

The channel’s new packaging, which includes new bumpers, idents and graphics have been designed by BBC Broadcast. No doubt, the sharper and much more crisp feel to the presentation will be welcomed by viewers who had been watching the old avatar of STAR News for nearly two years. This was also the time when STAR News became solely a Hindi news channel.

The new look has been introduced to keep the channel fresh and to keep it ahead of competition. STAR News has been lagging behind in the ratings of late and so this may just work in its favour. Let’s wait and see hey.

The English news ticker at the bottom of the screen has reduced size to coincide with the new look.

Changes are ongoing and will be complete by Saturday afternoon UK time.
