With Star TV ending its deal, Media Conteent and Communcations Services (MCCS) has confirmed that its flagship brand ABP will be rolled out across its news channels from Frday 1st June.
Star News, the Hindi news and current affairs channel from India will be rebranded to ABP News. The Bengali news channel, Star Ananda will be known as ABP Ananda and Star Majha will become ABP Majha. The ��Star�۪ pre-fix will be replaced with ��ABP�۪.
The channels have begun its on-air promotions communicating cleverly the following message, ���Our Stars don’t change, our News does not change, only our name changes.�
MCCS CEO Ashok Venkatramani said, “The three news channels of MCCS have developed into market leaders in their segments over the last eight years, which has helped MCCS evolve as a strong and respected broadcast news company. It has quality resources in its employees and has built good equity amongst its stakeholder – loyal viewer base, clients, distribution partners and vendors.”
In UK, the newly rebranded Star News is set to continue its distrubution with the Star TV Network.
