Star Jalsha UK to carry English subtitles

The UK’s premier Bengali entertainment channel, Star Jalsha will from this evening carry English subtitles on all its output, BizAsia can confirm.

Star Jalsha launched in the UK last November, replacing ABP News as the Star TV UK’s first regional offering. It is the broadcaster’s first experiment with a regional language channel in UK/Europe. ��Jalsha�۪ is synonymous to entertainment and celebration in Bengali. It will also make it the first South Asian regional channel to be retailed in the Sky Entertainment Pack and TalkTalk service.

Star Jalsha’s English subtitles will be readily available embedded on the channel’s output.
