Star Jalsha & Star Utsav launch in Canada on ATN

Star Jalsha and Star Utsav have launched in Canada after signing a licensing agreement with Asian Television Network (ATN), Canada’s largest south Asian broadcaster.

Star Utsav will complement ATN’s five Hindi general entertainment channels and Star Jalsha will complete its four channel strong bouquet of Bangla language channels from India and Bangladesh.

The Canadian premiere of these two channels commenced last week on Bell Fibe TV in Metro Toronto and Montreal. The two channels will have a free preview for 60 days. In addition to the existing subscriber base, with the launch of these new channels, ATN expects to gain new subscribers through cable, satellite and IPTV platforms across Canada.

This will expand ATN Canada’s offering of South Asian channels to 39.
