Star India to launch Star Sports 1 Bangla in March

Star India has confirmed the launch of Star Sports 1 Bangla, its first foray into Bengali sports programming.

Star Sports 1 Bangla will become the fifth regional sports channel in the Star TV bouquet. The channel is expected to go live on 5th March after undergoing tests over the last few days.

Star Sports 1 Bangla will be available for Rs. 19 on a-la-carte. It will also be available in the Bengali Value Pack, Bengali Premium and Bengali HD Premium bundles.

The launch comes ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League, which starts in March. The broadcaster is leaving no stone unturned to give the lucrative tournament its biggest ever platform.
