Star India replaces Channel V with Star Sports 3

In a final adieu to Star India’s youth/music service, Channel V, the broadcaster has announced it will be launching Star Sports 3 in its place.

In a public notice, Star India said that it will be replacing Channel V with Star Sports 3 from 15th September 2018. Earlier, the broadcaster had published a similar notice of shutting down Channel V in October last year, only to retract its statement.

Reports say that the broadcaster was awaiting approval to change the service’s content hence the huge delay.
