This year’s much talked about Star Guild Awards will broadcast on Star Plus later this month.
The event, which celebrates the success of achievements in cinema and television, was held on Saturday 16th February at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. It was the first time that Bollywood star Salman Khan hosted an awards night. On the night, Khan told reporters, ���Everybody gets nervous when you do something for the first time, even I am nervous, I just thought��_ let�۪s try��_ how it feels to host (such functions). It is a very difficult thing, you have to remember many things, listen properly to others and not get carried away.”
The big winners of the night included ‘Vicky Donor’ (2012) and ‘Barfi’ (2012) notching up 13 awards in total. Lata Mangeshkar won the ‘Nightingale of the Century Award’ for her outstanding contribution to singing.
Star Guild Awards will be shown on Star Plus on Sunday 24th March.
