Star Gold UK to air Indian Premier League specials this week

Star TV UK has confirmed that it will be broadcasting a series of special shows ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League 2019 season this weekend.

The two-hour strand will air on Star Gold UK this week between 19:00 and 21:00, which will include highlights of the lucrative tournament from previous years, on both Monday and Tuesday.

This will then continue with the broadcaster airing the ‘Journey of Champions’ of Mumbai Indians win in 2013 on Wednesday, followed by Kolkota Knight Riders in 2014. On Thursday, the channel will air the journey of 2015’s winners Mumbai Indians and 2016 winners Sunrisers Hyderabad will also be shown. On Friday, Star Gold will conclude its specials with Mumbai Indians win in 2017 and then the Chennai Super Kings supremacy from last year.

This year’s IPL is expected to air exclusively on Star TV’s digital platform, Hotstar, unless a last-minute agreement is reached with a television broadcaster. The tournament goes live on Saturday 23rd March 2019.
