Star Gold UK has confirmed that it will be broadcasting highlights of the Indian Premier League (IPL) greatest matches of all time, as a build-up to the start of the 2020 tournament.
Starting from Monday 17th August, Star Gold will air a new 60-minute strand between 21:00 – 22:00 called ‘IPL Greatest Games’ and will kick off with IPL 2015’s match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab at 21:00, followed by last year’s game between Kolkatta Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians at 21:30.
The slot will continue every weeknight at 21:00. This will result in the night movie moving from 21:00 to 22:00 as a temporary measure.
Further to this, Star Plus UK will also broadcast the IPL 2017 Final between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant at 16:30 on Sunday 16th August. Meanwhile, Star Plus will air ‘Greatest Games’ at 17:00, 17:30, 22:30 and 23:00 Monday through to Sunday.
In the UK, Sky Sports will air IPL 2020 from 19th September. It was earlier scheduled to take place in March but was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
