Star Gold UK to show Khelo India School Games 2018

After tasting ratings success with the Indian Premier League player auction over the weekend, Star TV UK has confirmed that it will be broadcasting Khelo India School Games 2018.

The inaugural event, which was held today in India, will kick off with the main series on 1st February up until 9th February 2018. In the UK, it will air at 16:00 – 17:00 on Star Gold UK,

The special event will air on Star Sports in India after signing a five year agreement earlier this month. At the time, Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said, “After careful deliberation and following a transparent bidding process, we are delighted to announce that Khelo India School Games 2018 will be partnering with Star Sports for the broadcast of event. It will be the first time that school games will be broadcast LIVE simultaneously on TV and digital platform.”

The Khelo India programme has been introduced to revive the sports culture in India at the grass-root level by building a strong framework for all sports played in our country and establish India as a great sporting nation.

  1. Congratulations to the newest Indian Sports channel in the UK. Star Gold Sports? Is Star Gold saying that they aren’t a Movie channel anymore or have they run out of movies? How does the Gold team even allow this to happen.. Desperation of some channels just to get up ratings. I believe if any channel who’s desperation has reached a stage where they get away from what its description is is wrong and misguiding. Whether that be Star, Sony or anyone else.

    Tomorrow we’ll have the PSL on Hum Masala which is a food channel. Its one thing to use your parent company’s content to make sure viewers get to watch it in the UK, E.g. Asia Cup,etc. and its another to pick up anything and everything to do with sports and showcase it on a Movie channel. Definitely needs some re-thinking by the management
