Star Gold reveals new on-air look & logo

In a surprise move, Star Gold unveiled its new on-air look, complete with a refreshed identity cleverly woven into the first 15 minutes of the World TV Premiere of ‘Singham’ through special graphics.

The new presentation of the Bollywood movie channel was kept underwraps until the premiere of the blockbuster Ajay Devgn starrer.

The new logo now dons a similar look to flagship Star Plus. The channel is made up of a red and blue corporate Star symbol with ‘StarGOLD’ beneath. The channel’s new strapline is ‘Karo Dil Ki’. It coincides with the channel’s new film acquisitions starting with ‘Singham’, which is still running at selected cinemas.

“Karo Dil Ki۪ reflects the attitudes and aspirations of our viewers. As a brand we have always endeavored to give our viewers what they want to watch not just what we want them to watch. The TV premiere of Singham۪ on September is itself a landmark screening of this over Rs 100 crore grosser which is still running to packed houses.” said Sanjay Gupta, COO, Star India.

The refreshed Star Gold will boast of a six movie schedule every day.

The channel has also branded its primetime movie slot ‘Blockbuster @ 9’ and ‘Badi Picture’ will showcase the biggest Bollywood hit movie titles.

Star Gold will also be premiering films like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Ra.One’ over the next few months.

Star Plus recently underwent an on-air change with a new ruby coloured logo. Star One is set to be rebranded to Star One soon, with only Star News in the UK currently unchanged with the old style branding.
