Star Gold & Hotstar UK/USA to air Bangladesh Premier League 2018

Star Gold and Hotstar will be airing the sixth season of the widely successful Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in UK, US and Canada. While the tournament will be available to UK viewers on both Star Gold UK and Hotstar UK exclusively, US and Canada subscribers can enjoy the BPL on Hotstar.

Starting 5th January, the tournament will have 46 T20 games over 24 days- with the group stages followed by an eliminator and the finals. The final would be aired on 8th February 2019. There would be two games a day at 8:30am GMT and 1pm GMT. The tournament features some of the top T20 stars in world cricket with AB DeVilliers, David Warner, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Thisara Perreira, Lasitha Malinga, Dawid Malan & Shakib Al Hassan being the big names taking part.

With a strong English presence, apart from legendary stars from both Pakistan and Bangladesh cricket, it is a format suited to our South Asian and English audience in the UK. We hope they enjoy the broadcast in true HD on Star Gold on Sky & Virgin.”

Star Gold UK has been a roll recently with its coverage of Pakistan cricket over the past couple of months. The channel’s viewership has increased 175 per cent, compared to the two month prior.

The tournament would be available to view on Star Gold HD on Sky 729 and Virgin 801 for UK viewers and on Hotstar in the UK, US and Canada.
