Star Gold HD begins full video testing on Sky

As revealed first on , Star TV is set to launch its second HD channel in the UK next month.

Star Gold HD, will join Star Plus HD on the Sky platform in early December. Ahead of its launch, the channel has begun full video testing. The Bollywood movie channel is currently broadcasting a different output to its Standard Definition version for testing purposes. This will then switch to a simulcast of the SD service when launched.

With Star Gold HD, the number of Asian TV HD offerings in the UK will go up to six, which include Star Plus, Colors, Sony TV, Sony MAX and &TV.

Tests of Star Gold HD can be viewed at the following parameters below:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.758 (H), FEC: 8/9, SR: 29500 / DVB-S2 / QPSK
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “4032″ service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> Click on “4032” to view the channel
