Star TV’s four channels Star Plus, Star Gold, Star Life OK and Star Jalsha have today launched on TalkTalk.

Customers can upgrade to ‘Star TV Boost’ which offers Bollywood movies and a range of popular reality shows – including ‘Masterchef India’, ‘Come Dine With Me’ and ‘Nach Baliye’ – for 5 per month.

TalkTalk’s YouView users can simply bolt Star TV on to their existing broadband package, allowing access to all four channels.

Customers are able to add or remove TV boosts on a monthly basis, allowing them to customise their own YouView experience.

Yeshpal Sharma, Sr. Vice President Star UK & Europe said, “We are delighted to team up with TalkTalk to make the best of Asian television available to our loyal and growing UK audiences. Star Plus is the first Asian television channel to be retailed in the TalkTalk Entertainment Boost and the launch of the Star TV Boost is testimony to the confidence that TalkTalk has on the channel۪s performance.”

Tristia Clarke at TalkTalk said: “We are delighted to offer more award winning entertainment from the number one Asian network as part of the diverse range of content available on the TalkTalk Player. Star TV already has a fantastic following amongst our customers so I۪m sure the addition of three new channels via a single boost will be a big hit.”

Last week Star Plus became the first Asian TV channel in the UK to launch on the popular Sky Digital mobile phone app, Sky Go.

Sony TV and ZEE TV are already available on TalkTalk via another upgrade option – ‘Asian TV Boost’ for 10 per month.
