STAR axing ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii’ by August?

Speculation is rife that STAR Plus is axing one of its most dependable shows, come August.

Balaji Telefilms’ drama ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii’, which has been a channel driver, along with ‘Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ over the past seven years, could be off the air due to declining viewing figures.

A source from the industry told TellyChakkar, “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is going off air and as per the latest buzz it will be replaced by Rajan Shahi�۪s upcoming love story. It is because of the low TRPs that the show is going to be pulled off.”

Another source from Balaji says, “Ekta has already announced to her close ones that if the show doesn�۪t rake in good TRPs she will pull the show off. Also now that Saakshi Tanwar is shooting for Balaji�۪s Mahabharat , which leaves her with no time for any other show, the chances are more.”

There have also recently been rumours about ‘Kyunki’s’ dwindling performance; however it is hoping Smriti Irani’s return as the protagonist will boost ratings. Watch this space for an official announcement.
