SRK’s make-up man, Ravi dada, passes away

It is not often that a team is thought about when one looks at a celebrity but there is a whole host of people behind every successful actor or actress. It is with sadness that BizAsia reports that Shah Rukh Khan’s make-up man, Ravi Indulkar, has sadly passed away.

Khan tweeted earlier today, “My friend, father figure & make up dada, Ravi Indulkar passed away today. Feel a part of my life has been extinguished. Miss u Dada… ”

Riteish Deshmukh also took to Twitter in condolence, “Rip Ravi Dada – SRK’s make up artist -kind hearted man- always took care of me on srk’s sets. Sp in NewYork during d shoot of kjo’s KANK”.

In 2009, Khan saluted Indulkar and said, according to India Today,��”He is a father figure to me. He was the first makeup man I ever had. I had borrowed him from Hema ji (Malini) and I told him to make me as pretty as her. Later, he stayed with me, but couldn’t make me pretty”.

Indulkar’s demise is sure to be a huge loss to the industry which he has been a part of for many years.
