SRK’s heartfelt message to co-star after his father passes away

If anyone knows what it’s like to lose someone close to you, it’s Shah Rukh Khan. So it’s no surprise that when his ‘Asoka’ (2001) co-star Rahul Dev posted a message via social media about his father’s passing, Khan was compelled to send his condolences.

Taking to social media site Twitter, Dev dedicated his post to his late father Hari Dev who was an officer who was awarded with a Gallantry Award for his services. His post read, “Will miss you Papa .. He left us five days ago, a brilliant innings of 91 .. Most cherished moment with him at a robust ninety. Decorated police officer & the recipient of the coveted Gallantry Award. A simple, kind & free spirited soul. Blessed to be his son.”

Replying to the post, Khan reached out to Dev and expressed, “May Allah bless his soul. In school we use to hear all his stories of bravery and be inspired.”
