The legendary Yash Chopra celebrates his 80th birthday tomorrow and in a special, never-before occurrence, Yash Raj Films have set up an in-conversation��with him to be hosted by��Shah Rukh Khan. It will be a unique homage to cinema’s most illustrious director.
There is no better choice than Khan to be a part of what will be a conversation that shows the personal side of Chopra. An insider spoke to Hindustan Times with details, “Some of SRK�۪s biggest hits have been with Yashji and his banner. So, we will witness SRK talk to him about his life, films and his entire journey. It�۪s an homage to Yash Chopra. It was the Yash Raj Films team who came up with the idea, and Shah Rukh was very excited about it”.
Cleverly, and rather aptly, the birthday tribute will also serve well in promoting the forthcoming ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ which sees Chopra return as director after eight years with Khan as male lead. An insider went on to reveal, “SRK is the only one from the present generation of actors who has worked so extensively with Yashji. The event is being planned on a big level. Yashji generally doesn�۪t face the camera”.
Talking about ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, the source admitted that not much is being said as the mystery surrounding the film, it’s plot and other details are being kept well under wraps. The source divulged that the crew had just returned from Switzerland where the last song for the film was shot with Khan and Katrina Kaif. The source also confirmed that the film is now in the post-production stage.
‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ is slated for a Diwali release.
