SRK-Sunny Leone’s ‘Raees’ song cut for Pakistan?

Sunny Leone

When news was confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Leone were sharing the screen for ‘Raees’ in an item song, many would have been excited. However, the song has apparently been deemed a little risque for the Pakistan audience who might not see the song at all as part of the film.

“Raees has a deep Pakistan connection. The film۪s leading lady Mahira Khan is from Pakistan and the protagonist is a Muslim businessman. The makers feel that Sunny۪s sequence may be a little risque for the Pakistani audience,” said a source, according to Deccan Chronicle.

The song was reportedly something the makers added in when they agreed that debutante Mahira Khan wasn’t really suitable for the seductive sense in the film. A source added, “Everyone from Shah Rukh, to director Rahul Dholakia and producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani felt that the film needed that sizzling number, that tadka. And that۪s how Sunny Leone came into the picture.”

‘Raees’ is scheduled for release in January 2017 and also stars Nawazuddin Sidduqui.
