This year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) is turning out to be rivalry on and off the pitch between Bollywood stars.
After BizAsia reported that there were cold vibes between Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif at the launch event of the IPL, latest we hear is that Shah Rukh Khan shunned Akshay Kumar at the first match between his team and Delhi Daredevils.
Kumar was at the match to promote his upcoming release ‘Once Upon Time In Mumbai Again’ with co-stars Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan. A source said that King Khan had apparently passed a message to the TV broadcaster telecasting the match to not focus too much on Kumar.
Another source told Mid-Day, Initially Akshay and his gang were sitting away from Shah Rukh. However, soon they moved closer to the star in order to interact with the audience. However, immediately SRK retired from the scene, perhaps to avoid greeting the others.
Both Khan and Kumar will be competing with each other at the box office this Eid when ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Once Upon Time In Mumbai Again’ hit cinemas.
Tanuj Garg, the CEO Balaji Motion Pictures (OUTIMA) said, Our mission was accomplished as we were featured on all the channels and the Kolkata media supported us. However, we did receive messages from our friends that we were not spotted enough on TV. But it is not in our hands.
