SRK, Rohit Shetty still wanting to remake ‘Angoor’

Srk Rohit Shetty

Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty first joined hands for ‘Chennai Express’ in 2013. However, they initially came together to talk about a remake of ‘Angoor’ (1982). This is still going to happen as Khan has revealed.

According to Asian Age, Khan said, “Actually, Rohit and I have been making Angoor since the past five years! We initially met for the Angoor remake, but ended up making several other films in the process”. The duo will be back with ‘Dilwale’ in December.

Khan added, “He even narrated the story and assembled the cast, but when he narrated Chennai Express, we started working on that project. Soon after we finished that, Angoor again became a topic of discussion but then Dilwale came along. Now that we are finishing up Dilwale, we again discussed Angoor. But now he has started narrating another script altogether! So Angoor is ready, but every film takes its own course and that film will happen with time”.

‘Angoor’ was directed by Gulzar and starred Deven Verma and Sanjeev Kumar.
